Physico-chemical Properties of Plant Materials Workshop

The provision of high-quality food from plant materials and the predictable management of biomass are part of the circular bioeconomy, the development of which is an increasingly important aspect of human development. The growing global population is resulting in increased consumption and demand for these products. The continuous study of the properties, maintenance and quality control of plant products as raw materials for the food and energy industries is a particularly important task these days. The objectives focus on the study of the physical, physicochemical and biochemical characteristics of raw materials and products of plant origin, including biomass, in the processes of production, processing, storage and preservation.

The topic of the workshop will be:

  • Physical and chemical properties of raw plant materials
  • Experimental and modelling characterization of processes occurring in plant materials
  • Technology of wheat-based products
  • Experimental and modelling characterization of plant granular materials.
